Vaccination Requirements for entering Singapore International Schools

Singapore International School Consultants-Immunization requirements

With effect from 1 February 2019, the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Singapore will be introducing diphtheria and measles vaccination requirements as a prerequisite for foreign-born children applying for long-term immigration passes to Singapore.

Foreign-born children aged 12 years old and below, who are first-time applicants for Dependent’s Pass (DP) or Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and the Student’s Pass (STP) issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints authority (ICA), are required to submit documentary proof of vaccination or evidence of immunity for diphtheria and measles to the Health Promotion Board (HPB) for verification before they can proceed with their applications to MOM or ICA for their long-term stay in Singapore.

Compulsory vaccinations:

Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis

* Minimum age for Diphtheria vaccination is 6 weeks old

* Minimum interval to next vaccine dose :

-between each Primary dose (i.e. Dose 1/2/3) : 4 weeks

-between Primary dose and Booster dose (i.e. Dose 3 and Booster 1):6 months

-between Booster dose (i.e. Booster 1/2) : 6 months

Measles:

* Minimum age for Measles vaccination is 12 months old 6

* 2 doses of Measles vaccine MUST be completed between 12 – 18 months of age

* Minimum interval to next vaccine dose : 4 weeks

There are a number of recommended vaccinations, but these are not required.

Existing pass holders will not be subject to this new requirement when renewing or applying for a new pass.
